　　To further advance the development of oil and gas storage and transportation technologies and information technology in China, accelerate the translation of scientific research findings into productive forces, strengthen technical exchanges and cooperation, and enhance the application of new technologies, new equipment, new materials, and new products in the field of oil and gas storage and transportation, the Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation Professional Committee of the China Petroleum Society and the Specialized Technical Committee on Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation of the National Petroleum Industry Standardization Technical Committee successfully convened the “4th National Conference on Innovation in Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation Technologies and Information Technology” from August 18 to 21, 2015, in Kunming, Yunnan. A concurrent exhibition showcasing new technologies, new equipment, new materials, and new products was also held.

　　This was a rare and valuable conference on new product innovation technologies and an exchange forum for information technology. Leaders from China National Petroleum Corporation’s Natural Gas & Pipeline Division, PetroChina Pipeline Company, PetroChina Natural Gas Pipeline Bureau, Beijing Oil & Gas Dispatch Center, PetroChina Pipeline Construction Project Management Office, West-to-East Gas Pipeline Company, Sinopec Pipeline Storage & Transportation Company, PetroChina Beijing Natural Gas Pipeline Co., Ltd., PetroChina Western Pipeline Division, Central Asia Gas Pipeline Co., Ltd., CNOOC Pipeline Gas Transmission Co., Ltd., China–Ukraine Gas Pipeline Co., Ltd., Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd. of China National Petroleum Corporation, Sinopec Southwest Petroleum Administration, Sinopec Northwest Administration, and PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Division—and nearly 500 experts and technical personnel from petroleum and petrochemical enterprises across the country—attended the conference. Delegates exchanged ideas on oil and gas storage and transportation technologies, including related standards.
